Speaker Mark Heidebrecht “Ergo Mark” | ErgoMethods
Mark Heidebrecht, the owner of ErgoMethods and a managing partner at Ergonomics International, is a distinguished professional with extensive expertise in the fields of ergonomics, biomechanics, human factors, and work physiology. Graduating with honors from the University of Kansas for his research on The Kinetic Analysis of Lifting and Lowering Utilizing Chaffin’s Biomechanical Model, Mark has testified as an expert witness in over 75 State Court and United States Federal Court cases. He holds certifications as a Certified Ergonomist / Human Factors Professional from the Board of Certified Professional Ergonomists and as a Board Certified Exercise Physiologist from the American College of Sports Medicine. With more than 25 years of experience, he’s developed innovative ergonomic analysis software, motion analysis equipment, and patent-pending ergonomic risk and physical demand analysis software programs. Mark’s contributions extend to instructing preparatory courses for certification by the Board of Certification in Professional Ergonomics (BCPE). Notably, he addressed the National Academy of Science in Washington D.C., and his expertise has been sought globally, from the United States and Europe to Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. His comprehensive skills encompass musculoskeletal disorder prevention, ergonomic risk reduction, biomechanical and human factors analysis, physical demand assessment, and job-specific functional testing. With a remarkable portfolio spanning various industries including manufacturing, healthcare, government, and more, Mark Heidebrecht has made significant contributions to the advancement of ergonomic programs and practices.
