CEU’s will be awarded.
What do you know about the Internet of Things, and the potential for wearable technology applications within your organization? If asked by your CEO, would you feel comfortable explaining what wearables are, limitations, and how they could promote safety at your company?
Join the Heart of America Chapter for our first Professional Development Workshop of 2023. We are excited to host Scott Coleman with Preventure, and Tim Knust with German Bionic. These technology industry leaders will provide attendees with insight on how wearable technology can aid businesses in evaluating high risk activities and how to target injury prevention strategies, followed by an opportunity to interact with the devices. Tim Balmer will be the moderator.
In his presentation, Scott will talk about the wearables within the athletic world, and how these principles can be applied to the occupational athlete. Additionally, there are opportunities to involve wearables with effective Return to Work programs.
Tim’s discussion will focus on exoskeleton technology, how it’s evolved over the years to be less intrusive, and can really be a key feature for injury prevention in heavy manual labor tasks.
Due to the interactive aspect of this workshop, it will not be offered virtually.
